RESOURCES

This pages in this section, which are still under construction, include print and online resources related to trauma, yoga, and mindfulness for adults, youth, families, and schools.

You can also check out the following resources that I have developed:

My Facebook and Twitter pages: Both pages provide articles, practice tips, and other resources related to yoga, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care for children, families, caregivers, schools, and health professionals.

My Research and Practice Blog (located on this website): The posts on this blog focus on yoga and mindfulness activities for children, adoptive families, and caregivers. I will also use tis blog to discuss my research projects and findings.

Yoga and Mindfulness Resource Guide for Adoptive Families (PDF download): This written guide--which I developed with Elisha Bidwell, a family therapist and children's yoga teacher in Austin, Texas--provides a list of books, card decks, games, and online resources appropriate for the needs of adopted children, adoptive families, and adoptive parents. It also includes guidelines for practicing children's and family yoga in a trauma-informed manner. We plan to update this guide as needed.

My YouTube Channel: This channel consists of my Family Yoga Play mini-sessions aimed at adoptive families and other caregivers who want to use yoga to foster connection, trust, and calm with their children. Some of these videos are also located on the Home page of this website.

Tree Frog Kids Yoga resource pages: These pages, which are on my other website, include an array of kids yoga and mindfulness books, card decks, and practice props that I use at home and in my classes.
